How do you connect composite panels durably, strongly and fully automated to aluminium or steel profiles?

From that question, engineers set out to find a smarter, stronger and low-maintenance solution. The result is CLIME® Connect: a patented method that connects sandwich panels to aluminium or steel profiles in an innovative way — durable, strong and easy to repair.

What is CLIME® Connect.

A patented method to connect composite panels to an aluminium or steel profile through thermal forming. No glue, no sealant, no screws or rivets.

Forces are transferred optimally between the profile and composite panel through a form-locked connection — resulting in a very strong and stiff structure.

Process

Thermal forming, form-locked connection.

During the process, the aluminium or steel profile is heated and pressed into the panel under controlled pressure. The panel melts locally and forms tightly around the profile. After cooling a very strong, stiff and form-locked connection is created.
